Next course starts on 12th October 2014

Mindfulness for stress-relief and improved well-being.
A practical course over four alternate Sunday afternoons on 12th October, 26th October, 9th November and 23rd November 2014, meeting 12.30-4.30pm at Attenborough Nature Reserve, Beeston.
This course is also suitable for people experiencing physical pain or illness. Please call me to discuss.
All Mindfulness Makes Sense courses and workshops provide information on how and why mindfulness works, the science behind it and an understanding of how our brains respond to certain stimuli. We introduce you to the techniques for becoming more mindful and provide support and guidance on how to work with them, and how to make them work for you.
Mindfulness is learnt in two ways: through meditation and by bringing mindfulness into our daily lives.
Venue: The course will be held at Attenborough Nature Reserve. Directions.
Costs: £220 per person payable in advance. This includes all tuition, a full set of materials, including CDs, and access to support and advice for the duration of the course.
This is a practical course with the emphasis on learning the various mindfulness techniques. Taught in a friendly and relaxed environment, participants will gain the knowledge, tools and practices to create lasting change.
To get the most from the course, participants undertake daily home practice (ideally 30 minutes) for the duration of the course. With regular practice, even if it is only ten minutes a day, we build the brain muscles that enable us to be more resourceful in managing our responses.
