About mindfulness
Mindfulness training is widely recognised as an effective approach to increasing well-being, managing stress, pain and illness, improving quality of life, improving relationships, and becoming better at whatever we choose to do.
By perceiving and accepting our thoughts, physical sensations, emotions and events at the moment they occur, without reacting in an automatic or habitual way, we can begin to respond more creatively. Mindfulness training helps to build the skills that give us greater choice in how we respond to our experience to have a rich and fulfilling life, even in difficult circumstances.
You will find that with regular practice, even if it is only ten minutes a day, you will become more aware of how you think and feel on a moment-by-moment basis, and will build the brain muscles that enable you to be more resourceful in managing your responses.
